The short version

Wingwait doesn't require an account, doesn't ask for personal information, and doesn't run its own analytics. The site shows public aircraft broadcast data. The only tracking that may occur comes from the advertising described below.

What the site itself collects

• Location: if you grant permission, your approximate location is used once to centre the map. It is used in your browser and in requests for nearby aircraft; it is not stored by us.
• Preferences: your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser's storage, nowhere else.
• Server logs: the site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to serve and protect the site, per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Flight data

Aircraft positions shown here are broadcast publicly by aircraft transponders (ADS-B) and aggregated by community networks including adsb.lol, adsb.fi and airplanes.live. Requests for aircraft near your map view are sent to these services to display results.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and may process personal data as described in Google's advertising policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the EEA/UK will be shown a consent message before any advertising cookies are set.

Children

The site is a general-audience flight map and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
